The Most Creative Restaurant in Tsuen Wan

一提到香港最有懷舊特色的餐廳,一定會想起冰室!今次,我們荃灣之最會為大家介紹一間新營業的餐廳─大壹冰室。一踏進店內,你會看見牆上掛滿了很多懷舊的擺設,讓你有種仿似回到七十年代的感覺。

This time, do you know which restaurant will be recommended by us? No idea? Let us tell you the answer! It is 1969 Kitchen One, which is a new restaurant locating at Tsuen Wan. When entering into the restaurant, you will find that there are quite a lot of nostalgic furnishings and decorations appearing inside the store.

悉,大壹冰室的店主為了讓食客能體驗到六、七十年代的餐廳風格,特地親自到不同地方尋找懷舊的飾物。店內其中的70%裝飾是來自廣洲,而餘下的30%則是從世界各地搜羅,包括荷蘭、法國、英國等。當中,那些可口可樂裝飾更是非賣品,別處很難看到的。

According to Food1.HK, we found that the owner of 1969 Kitchen One collected many a variety of nostalgic stuffs from different countries by himself only so as to let customers experience the style of restaurant of 60s-70s. Besides, 70% of the store decorations came from Guangzhou and the other 30% were searched from over the world, such as Netherland, France, and UK etc. For example, the posters of Coca-Cola on the wall, they are really difficult to see from elsewhere as well as not for sale.




見牆上精緻和具創意的擺設,就可知道店主一定是很用心地搜羅各式各樣的懷舊飾物,並仔細構思和安排店內的佈局。

When seeing the fabulous and creative decorations on the wall every time, we always imagine that the owner must be striving to search for a wide range of nostalgic stuffs and simultaneously pay a lot of efforts on designing the store layout.


然店內空間相對較狹窄,但環境十分優美,是一個最適合與好友談天說地的好地方。
The space of the restaurant is quite narrow, but the venue was decorated so great. Certainly, it is a pretty good place for you to spend time with friends.


那麼美好的環境,當然少不了美食推介吧!
Now let us introduce three of yummy dishes in the following:

1) 西西里蛋包海鮮炒飯
廚師會先將餡料包括帶子、蜆仔、魷魚等炒香。然後將蛋與忌廉奶混合,令其口感更滑、更美味。經過兩重功夫後,餡料會被按份量並分開數次放入蛋裏煮。這樣就能令海鮮不會過熟之餘,蛋亦香滑。

1) Fried Rice with Egg and Seafood in Sicily Style
First, the chef will saute the fillings such as scallops, clams, and squids. After that, the eggs and cream milk will be mixed up together, so the texture can be much tastier. Passing through these two steps, the fillings will finally be put inside to the mixtures of egg and cream milk by separating several times. Thus, the seafood won't be over cooking and the texture of egg is quite creamy.

2) 野菌黑松露三文魚粒忌廉意大利飯
店主精心改良了該意大利飯的食譜,並加上忌廉奶,令其口感切合香港人的口味。當意大利飯放進口裏時有種軟綿綿的口感,完全不會乾身。而當中的挪威三文魚只是輕輕煎香,避免太乾而失去水份。

2) Risotto with Mushroom, Truffle, Salmon
For the sake of catering the tastes of Hong Kong people, the owner improved the original style of risotto and put the new componentcream milk into the risotto. When you are eating this risotto, you will taste the soft texture . Also, the Norway salmon is fried so gently, that can avoid to lose the moisture of salmon.
  

3) 煙三文魚凱薩沙律

愛吃沙律的你可選這款菜式!厚厚的煙三文魚被卷成像玫瑰花一樣;而面包糠脆得像薯片,十分香口美味;生菜則新鮮嫩綠。

3) Caesar Salad with Smoked Salmon
If you are a salad lover, you should take it a try! The smoked salmons are rolled up as a rose shape, and breadcrumbs are as crispy as chips and really good taste. Besides, the lettuce is so fresh and green. Undoubtedly, it is a quite healthy choice for all you guys!

荃灣最有日式風味的拉麵The Best Japanese-Style Ramen in Tsuen Wan
些年,很多日本出名的拉麵連鎖店來港開業,香港也牽起了一陣拉麵的熱潮荃灣亦不例外,出現一間十分出名的拉麵店名為拉麵台風。這間店舖對住在荃灣的拉麵發燒友來說可算是天堂。它很受歡迎,經常見到人龍,可見拉麵的水準被受肯定
Recently, many famous Japanese ramen chain opened in Hong Kong. Hong Kong people get burst of the ramen craze. Unexpectedly,there are a famous ramen shops opened up in Tsuen Wan, which is called "Ramen Taifu". It is the paradise for the ramen lover .The shop is very popular since you can always see a queue waiting outside the shop, proving its quality of ramen.

內地方不大但很有日式風味,職員的服務態度很好,會向第一次試的食客逐一介紹拉麵的種類及食法。選餐紙上同平時拉麵店一樣,食客可以自行選擇麵的粗硬度,湯的濃度,份量和小食

Although the size of the shop is not big, the decoration inside the restaurant is filled with Japanese style. The service attitude of the staff is really nice as they will explain the menu to the customer in a very polite manner. You can tick your flavourite food on the order paper. The choices are just like other ramen shop which include the hardness of the noodles, the concentration of soup, the size and snacks


1) 魚介豬骨湯拉麵
店只有4款拉麵,店內最受歡迎的打「魚介豬骨湯拉麵」拉麵內有三大塊豬肉,、半隻雞蛋、一塊紫菜、仲有魚粉、筍同京蔥。「湯底」有別於一般的湯底,為豬骨湯底加入了其他醬料!湯本身比較杰、濃但不會太膩。「叉燒」有二大塊,及一些細嚿切條的叉燒!頗厚、肥瘦適中。麵內的半熟蛋有硽過,相當流心配料內的筍亦爽口好味。

1) Pork broth with fish ramen
Ramen Taifu only provides four types of ramen. The most popular one is pork broth with fish. It includes 3 slice of pork, half of an egg, a piece of seaweed, bamboo shoot and green onion. The soup is totally different from others since they have mixed other sauces in the pork bone soup. The texture of the soup is much more concentrated but you will not feel too greasy. The mouth-watering point is the pork. The egg is being processed with sauce and it is very juicy. The bamboo shoot is tasty and refreshing too.

2) 豬軟骨(骨膠原)撈麵
它的特色是沒有湯的拉麵,這個拉麵的味道很濃,每一口都充滿骨膠原,湯內的魚介粉令到湯的味道更鮮甜。這拉麵的食法加上檸檬汁再配以生菜絲吃的撈麵,這個配撘為拉麵減了一些骨

2) Porcine cartilage (collagen) lo mein
It features no soup noodles. You can feel the strong taste while having the noodles. You will feel that it is full of collagen in the soup. The fish powder which is added in the soup, makes the soup even more fresh and sweet. You can add the lemon sauce in the noodles, so it can reduce the greasiness of the collagen.

3) 紅色暴雨拉麵
喜歡辣的顧客可以選擇紅色暴雨拉麵, 選前先考慮自己能應付的辣度它的辣味其實都是恰到好處,既不會搶走去其他主菜原來的味道 (包括:豚肉和拉麵),又能刺激到一下味蕾的震奮,真的不錯。如果覺得辣麵店有提供檸檬水,可供顧客解辣
3) Red Storm Ramen
For the people who love spicy, we recommend you the red storm ramen. People can choose the level of spiciness .The pungency degree is just on the right level. It will not cover the taste of other main ingredients of the ramen , i.e. Pork and noodles. It can give you excitement while eating the noodle.There are lemonade provided to the customer to relief them from spicy.

4) 伊台風
它是最特別的拉麵,末上檯已經先聲奪人,因為師傅用火槍把麵上的芝士燒溶,令平凡的拉麵也突然變得特別。它口感很好,麵很彈牙。之後見到原來師傅用的是小麥拉麵,而且煮每一個麵也會用計時器計時,難怪口感這麼好。

4) Yi Taifu
This is the most special ramen among others. You can find how ex-ordinary of it before the staff serve it to you. It is because the chef will use the fire, which is to melt the cheese over. It made an ordinary ramen to ex-ordinary. The texture of the noodle is just right. The reason of making this awesome noodle is they will use a timer to count the hardness of the noodles.

SugarLand 裝潢很光猛,而且有一半開式的廚房,可以看到內裡乾坤。店舖外也有類似露天茶座式的用區,可見有點心思。在晚上,你會看到SugarLand 門外大排長龍,
一眾SugarLand的粉絲在門外等候排隊。究竟那款甜品是荃灣之最逐個捉最值得推介給你呢?
Do you know which one dessert house is the tastiest dessert in Tsuen Wan? The Superior Tsuen Wan is going to introduce to you SugarLand! The decoration of SugarLand is very elegant with the half-open kitchen. Undoubtedly you can see the insider operation. Outside the dessert house has also a similar style with alfresco dining area, showing. In the evening, you will see there is a long queue outside SugarLand. Now we are going to introduce some of the delicious and famous desserts to you. 

SugarLand 三種特色甜品推介
Three types of desserts recommend

第一款: 朱古力奶凍
First type: Chocolate panna cotta

古力奶凍賣點是甜品共分為三層,最上層是朱古力雪糕球,中間是可可米,而最下層是3.6奶凍,食客可以品嚐到三種不同層次的口感,由第一口香滑軟綿綿的朱古力雪糕,再吃上第二層梗身的可可米, 到第三層的是濃郁牛奶味的3.6奶凍,整個配合簡直是天衣無逢,值得一試。

The selling point of Chocolate panna cotta dessert is divided into three layers. The top layer is chocolate ice cream ball, the middle layer is cocoa meters, while the lowest is 3.6 panna cotta. The diners can enjoy three different levels of taste, creamy soft from the first bite chocolate ice cream. The second is cocoa meter and the third layer is 3.6 panna cotta rich milk flavor. The whole layer matching is extremely perfect, it is worth to try. 

第二款: 芒果酥皮塔
Second type: Mango crisp pita

果酥皮塔份量比較多和外層比較厚,酥皮外脆內軟,而且酥皮與酥皮之間有小量芒果夾在中間,忌廉特別香滑,不算太膩。

Mango Crisp Pita is quite heavy and the outer layer is relatively thick, crispy outside and soft inside pastry, and a small amount of mango sandwiched between puff pastry and puff pastry and the cream especially creamy, not too greasy.

第三款: 香蕉窩夫
Third type: Banana waffles

蕉窩夫賣相精美,面上曬上燒脆焦糖,配上香滑的雲尼拿雪糕,好味得來又帶出香蕉的鮮味。

Banana waffles sell beautifully on the surface of the sun burned crisp caramel, accompanied by creamy vanlila ice cream. It brings out the flavor of banana

最近,不少有格調的咖啡館開始盛行。不但食物款式創新,室內的環境都亦別具特色。因此,我們誠意推介這間荃灣特色人氣小店「荳子 BEANS」。







Nowadays, there are many stylish cafés. Not

only the type of food is innovative, the environment is specialist. We sincerely recommend this café- BEANS which is full of characteristics.
內的裝橫以木材色調為主,黄光燈,配上一些小擺設,走的是簡約風格。店外落地玻璃透射著自然光,給人一種優閒和舒適的氣氛。但美中不足的是店內空間感不足,失去了讓客人放鬆談天的原意。
The color tome of the cafe is wood mainly,
yellow light, and matches with some decorations. 
The store is in simple style. The natural light transmit through the glass, it creates good and comfortable atmosphere. But the space is not enough; it is a blemish in an otherwise perfect
thing. Customers cannot be relaxing to chat in there.

以下我會推介一些特色和人氣的食物:
Now, I would like to recommend some special and famous food:

1) Green Tea Combo  ($88)
中包括綠茶紅豆奶凍、綠茶白朱古力流心朱古力蛋糕及綠茶雪糕,是綠茶愛好者的首選。綠茶紅豆奶凍用「室內玻璃瓶盆栽」的盛載著,相當精緻。奶凍的幼滑配上紅豆蓉和雪糕,可作調味之用,是最好的配搭,也可以增強口感。

店子的綠茶白朱古力流心朱古力蛋糕(心大軟)切開後依然沒有倒下,流心程度不俗,外脆內軟。同時,店主還特意混入白朱古力以中和綠茶的甘澀 ,使其味道恰到好處。綠茶雪糕的味道不過不失,中規中矩。

Green tea combo contains matcha and red bean puddling, molten matcha cake and matcha ice-cream.
It is a top choice of the matcha fans.The matcha and red pudding is put in the glass bottle like potting. The look is fine. The match up is perfect when the smooth pudding combine with the red bean and ice cream. The texture can also be strengthened.The molten matcha cake is not fallen after cutting and the floating level of serum is acceptable. The cake is crisp in outside and soft in inside. Also, the owner adds the white chocolate to neutralize the mouth-puckering taste to balance the taste.
The matcha ice cream is acceptable.


2) 熱玫瑰拿鐵 Hot Rose Latte ($35)
杯拿鐵的咖啡面上的立體拉花是由奶泡生成的泡沫貓咪,貓咪的造型栩栩如生,還露出貓掌。呷一口拿鐵,奶泡十分幼滑。咖啡雖香但玫瑰香氣不是太濃烈,加強一點會比較好。

There is a 3D-cat on the top of the Rose cafe. It is made of the milk foam. The look of 3D-Cat is like a real one, the paws can also be seen on the latte. When tasting the latte, the milk foam tastes smoothly. Besides, although the coffee sounds nice, the aroma of rose is not that strong. It is better to strengthen the taste of rose. 

3) 盆栽木糠布甸Sawdust Pudding in a Flower Pot ($68)

栽木糠布甸造型的像真度十分高,賣相別緻。木糠布甸中的泥是由Oreo碎及餅碎所混合而成,而下面是雪白和充滿牛奶味的木糠布甸,小小薄荷葉插在盆栽上有點綴的作用。當中不得不提的是盆裁的「盆」是用消化餅壓成,創意獨特。再配上雲呢雪糕,給予顧客多一種味道。

The look of Sawdust Pudding in a Flower Pot likes a real flower pot. It is very special and unique. The sawdust pudding is made of small pieces of oreo and biscuit. The bottom is the whitening sawdust pudding with milk taste and the mint leave is for the decoration. Besides, the flower pot is made of digestive biscuit. It shows that the creativity is high. Also, the vanilla ice cream can give customers one more flavor.
